Who we are

Radius Subterra delivers comprehensive pipeline engineering services, from installation and live connections to testing, maintenance and rehabilitation.

Radius Subterra is the specialist pipeline engineering arm of the Radius Group, working alongside Radius Systems, Evopipes, RK Infra, CTS and Aeon to deliver integrated pipeline infrastructure solutions.

We support gas, water and biogas networks, delivering pipeline rehabilitation and engineered solutions that span installation, live connections, flowstopping, testing, commissioning and rehabilitation. Through our relationship with Radius Systems, we draw on decades of manufacturing expertise, proven polyethylene (PE) technology and in-house testing capability to ensure high integrity pipeline performance across the asset lifecycle.

Our technical heritage blends long-established Subterra expertise with the broader Radius Group legacy, creating a delivery model built on engineering rigour, problem solving and a strong safety culture. We work collaboratively with clients to understand operational challenges and provide solutions designed to maintain continuity of supply, extend asset life and minimise disruption.

Our capability is further strengthened through close collaboration with specialist partners — FlowStop Services, FlowStop Engineering and MTS Contracting — enabling enhanced expertise in live pipeline isolation, pressure testing, under-pressure work and complex site operations. Together, we provide a comprehensive and coordinated service offering for both planned works and urgent interventions across the UK and beyond.

As part of Radius Group’s end-to-end infrastructure portfolio, we also benefit from access to advanced PE pipelines, district heating systems, smart piping solutions and engineered valves, all manufactured and supplied within the wider group. This ensures that the products we install are supported by deep materials knowledge, testing assurance and a commitment to long-term performance.

With an engineering-led approach, highly trained teams and strong governance, Radius Subterra provides safe, reliable and future-ready solutions that help customers manage, adapt and protect their pipeline infrastructure.

Whether planned works or complex operational challenges, we provide proven capability and dependable support.

Decades of expertise

With deep roots across the wider Radius Group and extensive experience in live gas, water, biogas and pipeline rehabilitation operations, our teams bring exceptional hands-on knowledge to every project. We understand the pressures faced by network operators and contractors and deliver work that is safe, compliant and technically robust from start to finish.

Committed to quality and safety

Safety underpins every service we deliver. Our work follows industry standards, rigorous internal procedures and environmental best practice. From accredited techniques to specialist equipment, we ensure consistent quality while reducing risk, waste and unnecessary disruption across gas, water and biogas networks.

Minimising disruption

Our specialist techniques, including under-pressure connections, flowstopping and trenchless rehabilitation, allow essential works to continue while maintaining customer service, protecting highways and minimising community impact. Reduced excavation and streamlined operations, support faster reinstatement and lower overall disruption.

Innovation and customisation

From bespoke branch saddles to tailored fittings for non-standard assets, innovation is central to our approach. We engineer solutions to suit each site, material and operating condition, enabling safer, faster and more cost-effective outcomes across complex project environments.

Safety and sustainability

We champion safe working and long-term sustainability. Our methods reduce carbon, excavation material, traffic disruption and reinstatement, while modern equipment and ongoing training create a safer environment for teams and the public. Every project is designed and delivered with environmental responsibility and operational resilience in mind.
